| 6th Grade Class This semester we will be learning about the brain, how it fuctions, and which parts of the brain controls what parts of our body. Also, have you ever wondered how we can solve problems, learn new languages and or why some people write with their left hand instead of their right hand? I wonder about those stuff too...well learn about the brain together. In addition to learning about the brain and its structures, we will also be doing a series of hands on activities in the classroom to learn more about how are brain helps us in making decisions and so forth. |

| ACTIVITY 1: You and your group will be creating a 3-D model of a brain with the images and box that is provided. You must all decide which image is the front, back, top, bottom, and left or right side of the brain. Once you have completed the 3-D model of the brain, the whole group will then look through the materials provided to learn more about the structures of the brain and its function. | |||||||||||||||||
