Persuasive Project Proposal Guide

Hi Seniors!

Since each of you have individual topics, unique ideas, are educated in your topic, I'm going to offer you the opportunity to create your own final project related to your research.

Although lessons are always tentative, this is what I'm planning for the next few weeks so make sure to complete the following questions as thoroughly and seriously as possible.

FOR TODAY...

ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS in a document (retype questions), include audience chart, print, and submit by the end of the hour:

When you are finished......

  • Search the Internet - find 3-4 organizations which fit your desired audience profile and might be effected by your presentation (we're not looking to get sued or start a riot, we're only sharing the information we've found)
  • Create a table including urls, snail mail addresses, name(s) and e-mails of contact people, purpose(s) of organizations, etc.

Persuasive Project Analysis

  • What message, related to your theme, would you most like to share?

I would like my audience to know that gun control is a serious issue that must be regulated by the federal government.

  • Why do you feel it's important to share this message?

From my research, I have concluded that too many children and innocent adults are dying because of lack of control in gun issuance, handling, training, and usage.

  • What do you want your audience to ultimately DO or BELIEVE?

I want my audience to believe that gun control is needed. I then want them to each write their representatives expressing this need.

  • Describe the audience that might BEST benefit from your project and information:

I believe the people who might best benefit from my gun control project are new parents. They probably haven't thought that far ahead yet about guns and their new babies. I think it might also be beneficial to high school students who are close to age when they can purchase a gun.
