Welcome to the Mobile Suit-8th Platoon! A Mech Warrior Clan like no other. To be a Mobile Suit-8th Platoon Pilot is to yearn to fight in the face of all convention.

The Mobile Suit-8th Platoon serves a singular purpose, to provide a place for honorable pilots to meet and fight together. We are Mobile Suit-8th Platoon Pilots by choice, pilots who have neither the need, desire, or time to conform to the rules and regulations of the typical Clan. We wish only to fight!

Our mission is simple

To maintain a fun hassle free meeting place outside of the
typical type of clan with a roster of pilots wishing to fight together as friends in both individual and team combat, free of Team Killers and incompetent pilots. We are Mobile Suit Pilots. We brave few who have chosen simple honour over honour enforced by codes of conduct, loyalty earned through friendship and trust over loyalty that is demanded, and freedom of choice over rules and regulations. The Mobile Suit-8th Platoon is founded upon the following four basic principles, Pilot as who you want, pilot what you want, pilot when you want, and pilot where you want. Mobile Suit-8th Platoon fights only as equals, we refuse to hold rank or privelge over our fellow Platooners and we refute the authority of one over all. Our rules are simple, have fun, have Yahoo Messenger, kill Team Killers when needed, and have more fun. Any questions?

The Fine Print

Both clan and innershepre pilots are welcome here, as Mobile Suit-8th Platoon pilots are free to fight in any type of mech they wish, puretech or mixedtech, its up to you.

We do not dictate our pilot's choices. We seek pilot's based not on their experience level but only those pilots with the right attitude, those who long to fight, to have fun, and to work together to improve both our individual and team combat combat skills.

Mobile Suit-8th Platoon pilots are fiercely independent and given the freedom to fight as they choose. Mobile Suit-8th Platooners determine for themselves what name they will fight under. You may name your pilot whatever you wish as we have no required names or call signs, we already know who we are, let our enemies figure it out.

The Mobile Suit-8th Platoon renounces the use of any style of military ranking or chain of command, we fly only as equals here choosing instead to work together as a team and no one pilot ever has the right to make any decisions for any other members of our platoon. We do not demand that our pilots swear some oath of loyalty or serve the Mobile Suit-8th Platoon with utter fealty.

Attendance at official Platoon practices and events is never required, for like you we also have families, friends, school, careers and other obligations. It is only a game folks, and as such a members record of attendance or participation has no bearing upon their status or position within the Squadron, nor is there ever any disciplinary action taken.

We do not restrict your right to have fun in exploring the many different avenues and levels of play available to pilots in the game, and for this reason we do not hold to the established "one Clan only rule". Being a member of the Mobile Suit-8th Platoon does not mean a pilot cannot belong to any other clan of his/her choice. Many clans declare this to be unhonourable, we feel it is unfair for any single person or group to restrict how any honourable player can enjoy the game. The idea behind the Mobile Suit -8th Platoon is simple, to earn your loyalty and trust and maintain that of our existing members through both friendship and having a good time, instead of making it a condition upon your enlistment and continuing existence within the platoon.

Mobile Suit-8th Platoon pilots fight with Honour at all times. Honour is the foundation of our Platoon. We are a self-policing squad, "Team Killers" and idiots will not be tolerated within the platoon. As Mobile Suit-8th Platoon pilots we respect the rights of the owners of the other servers and sites as they have gone to a lot of time and expense to provide us with free arenas to fight in. We also respect the rights of honourable non-member pilots when using the same servers and sites as they have as much right to have fun and fight there as we do. Honour is the watchword here, treat both your fellow Mobile Suit-8th Platooner and fellow players of the game the way you wish to be treated.
