After months of speculation and rumours about Rare being bought it has finally emerged that Microsoft has bought Rare. Nintendo has reportedly sold its 48% stake of Rare and stated that Rare are no longer a valuable asset. This comment is being aimed at the fact that Rare has still to release a game for the Gamecube after confirming up to three well before the machines release.
Rare are reportedly being allowed to keep such characters as Conker and Banjo & Kazooie while Donkey Kong is a big no no. |
