Physical Education
2006 – 2007
Miss Pfefferle / Mr. Cifonelli / Mr. Weinheimer
Student
Expectations:
We expect that you will be prepared to participate in each
Physical Education class that you have scheduled. You should be an active and productive
participant in each class, regardless of your physical abilities. You should realize that physical activity is
an essential element for your lifetime health and wellness.
Appropriate Attire:
You must have the following attire in order to participate
and receive credit for a class:
·
Athletic
sneakers (absolutely no street shoes, boots, or bare feet)
·
Shorts
or sweatpants (there should be no writing on the backside!!)
·
T-Shirt
or sweatshirt (plain or Catholic School Theme only)
·
DO
NOT wear B.G. issued sport-team uniforms in class
*** This P.E. dress code applies all
days, even on dress down days. ***
Late to Class:
If you are going to
arrive to the gymnasium for class after the late bell, you should have a
pass. Also, final attendance will be
taken five minutes after the late bell.
If you are not prepared and ready to begin class at this time you will
be considered late.
Injury/Illness
notices:
You must have a legal note to be excused from participation
in P.E. class. It is your responsibility
to take that note to the nurse and not the P.E. teacher. The school nurse will then issue an excused
notice for the time designate by your doctor to the P.E. teacher and any
coaches of the student. You cannot
return until your physician has cleared you, in writing for participation. Any athlete that is excused from P.E. class
should not be practicing or playing for a sports team that evening. An extended leave due to injury or illness
needs to be discussed with your P.E. teacher and could result in an incomplete
for the year.
