Entry for October 22, 2007
Well, the ITBS is over (finally!) and we are heading into the last half of the second term. My homeroom just finished reading Hatchet today. I will begin reading it tomorrow with Mrs. Mantooth's homeroom. We have enjoyed two of Gary Paulsen's books and several of the students in class are reading other Paulsen works.
The class had 4-H today and talked about possible posters and projects. Be sure to review the list of topics in the 4-H material. All 5th grade students have several upcoming projects! Science projects, social studies projects, and 4-H projects are all up for consideration. Not to mention the spelling bee in February and civic oration (speech) in the Spring.
Congratulations to new 4-H officers.
Also, congratulations to November character trait winner.
Don't forget that Wednesday is a half day.
Later!
