| LOCATION: The Play Pals toy factory JOB: Face in the background in the film Child's Play 2 DESCRIPTION: I'll be honest with you - I first laid eyes on Chucky when I was 11 years old, and I've been scared ever since - he gave me a serious case of the chills. This phobia lasted many years, resulting in quite a commotion being caused in a Forbidden Planet store a few years back when one landed SQUARELY ON MY HEAD. This phobia was finally buried a few weeks ago, as I saw Child's Play 2. I have to say it is a cure for any person who is afraid of Chucky. He is made to look about as terrifying as a bunny in a meadow of daisies, and comes across as a dolt. I feel a lot better now. But in the process, I noticed something. In the fight scene in the factory at the end, Chucky goes past hundreds of what appear to be Good Guys dolls. Correction - they're NOT. Well, not all of them. If you look carefully, a few of them are actually MR. T DOLLS. "Yeah, Mr. T had just released his doll, and it was in that factory we shot that scene," speaks Brad Dourif, who was on hand as the voice of Chucky. "We covered all the Mr. T boxes with Chucky stickers, but some came off. To be honest, I'm suprised nobody made the connection. A machine in the background is visibly putting gold chains on the dolls, and the less said about the anti-George Peppard spray machine, the better." <<<Back to the site. |
