"POT-HEADS" unique,decorative,& GOSH DARN CUTE!
Ideas come in many forms and from many different places for artists... The "POT-HEADS" are no exception! One day while looking through a magazine I ran across an article on a teacher who at the start of the school year made flower pots for her students that resembled each student. As the year went on the plants grew, and by the end of the school year; the students had a special gift. Something about that clicked with me, and got my creative wheels to turning...I knew I could take that idea a step further, and add my own personal- ities to them!
I began work on my first pot...adding my own flair and signature to my newest creation. All along I kept thinking what I could call them. After finishing my first one;I took it to work to get feedback. Lucky for me...I sold it to the first person who saw it. I knew then that I was on to something...they just did not have a name! The next morning... she tells me that her son-in- law saw the pot and wondered what she was doing with a pot-head on her table. THAT WAS IT!!! They had a name ... 'POT-HEADS'
Over the next few weeks... the "POT-HEADS' got fine tuned and took on their unique look. They continue to grow in popularity, and I always am looking for new ideas to use them for. It always puts a smile on my face everytime I hear someone say, "Oh...how cute!"
Please note that the "POT-HEADS" are functional flower pots, but it is recomended that you use a liner if planting real flowers and please do not put in the direct weather. They do best indoors or on porches or patios! |
