COURSE OBJECTIVES AND EVALUATION FOR PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY

The purpose of this course is to study, in a systematic way, the elements that characterize the Earth's surface and the interacting land, sea, and air systems that support life.

During this course, students will learn to:
1. Organize information
2. Identify patterns
3. Explain processes
4. Evaluate theories
5. Evaluate the effects on human life
6. Develop geographic skills
7. Practice and develop field work
8. Examine critically a variety of attitudes to the physical world
9. Reaffirm or revise students own attitudes and behaviour toward the physical and biotic world.
 
EVALUATION
The evaluation for this course will be as follows:

TOTAL 100% 
In June, if your mark for this course is less than 60%, the final exam will be written. In non-exemption cases, the mark on the June report card will be broken down as follows:
Term work 70%, Final Exam 30%.
 

***HOMEWORK: Students will be expected to have all homework complete by the morning of the due date. I will check homework unexpectedly three or four times per term.
