Environment Lesson Plan

 

 

Objectives:       *The student will be able to observe some form of nature and think about its movement.

*The student will be able to analyze the importance of nature in his/her world.

 

 

Materials:         *Tape player and tape of nature

 

 

Activities:

                                                Day one

The class will go out side and watch the world around them for 15 minutes.  When they hear my whistle they will know that they are now allowed to start writing in their journal when the have something to say about nature.  They are to write about one thing/object in nature, being as detailed as possible.  Homework:  Bring in one object/multiple of the same object tomorrow.

 

 

                                                            Day two

The class will come into a dim room with nature music playing.  They will listen for 10 minutes then journal about what they hear.  Next, we will move to the large bag of leaves I brought in.  We will let them fall, blow in the wind of the fan, etc.  the students will watch, listen, feel, smell and write about the leaves in their journals.  Then, the students will take their object and write about it and its movement.

 

 

                                                            Day three

The class will again come into a dim room with different music playing.  Today they will write a poem about nature in general.  Some topics will include, the importance of nature/object in nature, what is happening to nature, etc.
