Supplies  Students are expected to bring the appropriate supplies to class everyday.  During orientation a list of supplies that would be taken up were provided and extra credit will be given for bringing those supplies.  Supplies that are brought have to make it through the whole year and it is imperative that they are kept in good condition.  Students are allowed to check out supplies from the locked teacher supply cabinet during class by signing a form at the teacher’s desk.  The student who checked them out will replace supplies misused or not returned.

Pencil Sharpener  Students are allowed to sharpen pencils at the beginning and end of class and as needed throughout the class period, however, students should not be at the pencil sharpener without permission during instruction.  There should never be more than one person at the pencil sharpener at a time and students should take no more than two minutes to sharpen a pencil.

Giving out Assignments  Upon entering the classroom, there will be an overhead that has a small one or two question problem for you to answer while role is being taken.  After role has been taken; there will be an assignment on the board that will be explained five minutes into class.  A student volunteer will assist with any papers that need to be handed back and any tests or quizzes will be handed back by me personally as the class works on their assignment.

Turning in Classwork  There are eight labeled trays on my teacher desk.  Each class has a tray specific to their class.  Please place any work to be turned in, in the appropriate tray for grading.  Any late work needs to be placed in the late work tray that is also on my desk.

Class Participation  Classroom participation is essential and makes up 10% of the overall grade.

Money for School Activities:  Any money collected by the teacher will be handed over to the administration immediately and all receipts will remain on file for at least two years for any one who has a question or concern.  Such money, will be collected during homeroom buy the teacher.

Missed exams and assignments: For each day a student is absent the3re is one day given to turn in any missed assignments and make up any exams.  There is a binder with a make-up sheet placed in it for all students who miss class for any reason.  Check the binder for your sheet in alphabetical order and under the correct class period divider. (see also consequences for late work)

Restroom passes  Two restroom passes are given per nine weeks.  Student who use all of their passes will not be allowed to use the restroom or water fountain unless it is an emergency.
