The teacher enhances professional knowledge and skills by effectively
interacting with other members of the educational community and participating
in various types of professional activities.
Current Events
A teacher must stay up to speed about current events
because it helps maintain professional knowledge. I selected this
activity on current event reports to show my continuing search to be a
life-long learner. Not only does reading aid professional knowledge,
but the interaction between teachers, administrators, students, and parents
enforces this knowledge as well. This activity was posted to an educational
message board, in which other peers were able to respond. I also
responded to other colleagues' posts on similar current event issues to
aid my professional knowledge.
