| I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Sometime after my sister was born in 1970, we moved to Northeast Texas. Bogata, to be exact. My parents were into the rodeo life and Dad worked for Wing Rodeo. My parents split around 1973 and we returned to Louisiana with my mother. This was about the same time that my grandfather retired from Uniroyal and they moved to Pierre Part, La. where they had a fishing camp. \So imagine, if you can, taking a little kid from NE Texas and moving them to South La. during a very bad flood. I'll never forget when we got to part of the road that the water covered, we met the boat that would drive us to the Camp where we would live.....They did try to explain that there really was a road there and that the waters would recede.... Oh, how many of them floods I endured until 1995 when I figured I could endure NO MORE!! I called Dad...up here in NE Texas and shortly moved here. In three months I met my hubby, and six weeks later we married. He is from DeKalb, born and bred Texan all the way! He is a cowboy and a wonderful man, he is dependable, honest, and trustworthy. He builds bridges all across Texas...a heavy equipment operator, supervisor, welder, concrete man...well, you name it, he can do it |

| We now have 4 horses, I think. Seems they are traded or sold quite often around here, so I had to brand my name on the butt of my favorite, Diesel. Also, Briar marked his own, Macho. We no longer have the pygmy goats, but one day I will have another. We have 2 dogs, and both are old. Maggie is about 11 and ole Bubba Dog is about 8. And then we have way way too many cats around here. Don't know which are ours anymore. |
