After years of travel and raising our kids, we decided to settle and build a log house in Alaska! John is retired from the military and Connie is a teacher (substitute for now). All we really have to do, for now, is enjoy life. But the road to here was long and bumpy! Was it worth it? You bet!
So we are here. We raise racing pigeons. We also raise chickens, ducks, geese, and rabbits from time to time. We have them for looks, but we also use them for meat. The pigeons are for competition and are quite papmered! One of these days we will begin raising ponies for teacing children how to care for horses.
For fun, we enjoy the Alaskan landscape. We go fishing when ever we can, and would like to get out to hunt, but we are usually too busy doing something!
I have no idea where this thing is going, and I am not sure what to do next, but I have this idea that it will not be winning any internet awards (yet) But just give us time!
Well, it is a year gone by and I am trying to learn more!
