Information about PLAB and Entrance to UK medical System

Basic Requirements for UK: |
MBBS with house job (6 month in medicine , 6 month in surgery - required by GMC otherwise have to start as a HO after going through one of the following route
|

Pass all parts of PLAB exam |
|
|
Pass MRCP or MRCS and get exemption from PLAB , still have to do English part of PLAB or IELTS separately |
|
|
Sponsorship (very limited) need sponsorship from a UK consultant and a Pakistani consultant (foreign trained) , limited scopee of the job , can only work for limited period in a specific job. both these consultant need to write to GMC and request exemption from PLAB for an individual . need to have a guaranteed job in UK before hand . |

|
After getting registration need to join training scheme (SpR scheme) and pass the exit exams. may have to do non-training jobs initially like clinical fellow and trust ddoctor etc. |
