The purpose of this Web page is to review the use of verbals. Verbals, as you already know, are verb forms which act as different parts of speech. Verbals can aid you in the writing, reading and speaking process. Are they essential to writing essays or speaking??? Some say yes; some no. However, for our purposes in English, I believe you need to be made aware of them. In fact, you probably use them daily in your writing, reading or speech without even realizing it.

Entitled it 'Last Name-verbal writing'.
ASSIGNMENT: Write a short story or poem explaining in a creative way what verbals are and how they can be used. Use at least one example of all three types of verbals in your writing. Underline all the verbals used in your story or poem.
