the inspirational article “Happy Women”, Louisa May Alcott boldly assures the
ladies of her time that they can find success
and happiness outside of marrage. On the the

is named L., the beautiful daughter of a very wealthy man. She
realizes that abstaining from matrimony and
pursuing career options instead can make her
a busy, self-satisfied and propserous person for her entire life. She follows her

unaccepted, but L., believed that she could do more
ggod for the world by channeling her
talents into adiing the sick and poor that marrying.
