POETRY BOOKLET INSTRUCTIONS
Now
that you have learned about family relationships through poetry you will be
constructing a poetry booklet
of your own poems to show to the world. I have been very proud
of your tenacity (look this word up) and your
diligence in completing this project. Now all you have to do
is follow the instructions below to complete the
finished product.
INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Create a front and a back
cover. Construct your cover out of a durable, hard material, such as poster
board or cardboard.
Make
it neat. It may be in any shape you wish but the succeeding pages must be the
same size as
your cover construction. Decorate it any way you wish. Title
your booklet creatively.
DO
NOT INCLUDE YOUR NAME ON THE COVER. You should also have a back cover,
constructed of the same
material as the front cover. NEATNESS IS VERY IMPORTANT. YOUR COVER AND
CONTENTS PAGE WILL BE WORTH 100 POINTS WHICH
WILL COUNT AS A QUIZ GRADE.
2.
Contents page. This page should be word processed also. See sample below.
Include
your name and section on this page. Number all of your pages,

Explanations—These should be one paragraph
explanations of your poem. In this explanation, you should state
what and who your poem was about and why you choose to write
what you did. If your illustration
needs some explanation, you should also include that
information here.
4.
Grading This project will be worth 400 points.
50 points per poem, 30 points per explanation and 20 points per
illustration.
Be
sure that your required figures of speech are underlined in each poem.
5.
Your poems and explanations should be completed on white paper. However, both
of these pages should have a creative border
(your choice) and should be printed in a color. Choose a font for each poem and
explanation. This may differ for
each part of the project.
6.
Check Edline calendar for due dates.
