Exercise 2  Underline the common nouns and circle the proper nouns in the paragraph below.

 

            Many pieces of literature celebrate the dog. White Fang, written by Jack London,

is the story of a brave and loyal companion. The story is set in the Yukon, but dogs in suburbs and cities often display similar loyalty. Other writers who have written about the fine qualities of dogs are James Herriot and William Armstrong. Millie, a dog who lived in the White House, is listed as the author of her own book.

 

Exercise 3 Underline the 2 proper  nouns, circle the 2 common nouns, place a check over the one compound noun and place parentheses             around the one collective noun.
