Our School

We are a class of 11 students at East Alexander Middle School. There are two 6th graders, three 7th graders and six 8th graders in our class. There is 1 more boy than girls. ** Can you figure out how many boys and girls are in our class? **

Our school has around 700 students. Most ride the school bus, but many get a ride from their parents or other family members. Each of our students get their own lock and locker to keep our coats, bookbags and gym clothes.

Our campus is located in the foothills of North Carolina. Just beyond the soccer field is a Wetlands conservation site that is loaded with plant and wildlife. There is even a trail we can use to explore it. On the other side of campus is where our groundhog family lives. James, one of our custodians, tells us that they like to come out of the brush to snack on clover after all the students have left for the day. Mrs. Little is still trying to catch them on film!
