| Walking on Rainbows | |||||
| A glorious light breaks through the sky. Before I know it, I'm flying on high. A joyful shout is raised all around, Joined with a song- such a heavenly sound. I'm walking on rainbows, lounging on clouds in the sky, Laughing at the thought that I'll never die. A sea of glass before me waits, Beyond the golden streets and pearly gates. But it all disappears, fades from sight, For I have finally seen that wondrous light. You're clothed in a shimmering robe of snow white. Your majesty shines like a beacon at night. And I finally see Your beautiful face- those loving eyes That have gently guided me, covering all my lies. I finally see those truthful lips that for so long Have thrown away all my wrong. And I fall to the ground and worship You, For I am in no way deserving of all that You do. But You lift my face, wipe my tears, Show me that You have destroyed all my fears. Not a word is spoken, for we both cannot say, How truly long we've waited for this day. And I can finally smile and laugh a little too, For I know I have eternity to spend with You. |
