| Evening Shadows | |||||
| Cascading warmth upon the head of a lonesome heart, Golden shimmers painting mist before the day must start. Wandering eyes, searching for a relentless unmasked goal, Your hand in mine, like breath to my soul. How easy this day seems Compared to the lonely night. For I'll see you in my dreams Admist evening's shadowy light. And what once seemed as heaven's turn Was just my world's end. Water may wet, and fire may burn, But my heart will never mend. For you are my sea, The cleansing ocean that heals me. You are my fire, The candle flaming innocent desire. And the world I know, The place I call my home, Is now my stranger, my foe, And I'll have to find somewhere anew to roam. For you've walked the paths that were mine, You've traveled the roads of my heart. You've shown me something so divine, And now, for all the strength I can fathom, We must part. To the moon with you, To the stars with me, I'll see you in my evening shadows. |
