Fire - August 6, 2001.
We woke Monday morning bright and early (6:30 a.m.) to a fire across the street. Everybody had to get out of their apartments. I took these two pictures just before 7 a.m. when the fire truck (the first one) got there. AFterwards it was all thick black smoke and you could see nothing at all.

I took this picture about 9 a.m. or so I think, from down the street

I took this picture (below) just after noon when we got to come home.

During the fire we couldn't be home so we stayed over at grandma's house. Billy and Destinee played in the pool and then grandma built them a tunnel with a tarp and some chairs and the table outside.
