Homeschooling...

We homeschool for a number of reasons.
Our primary reason for homeschooling is God.  God sustains us.  We want our children to grow up the way God wants them to, learning and loving Him.  There are several scripture references that have brought us to our decision.
Proverbs 22:6 "Train children in the right way and when old, they will not stray."
Deuteronomy 6:7 "Recite them to your children and talk about them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise."
Nehemiah 6:3 "So I sent messengers to them, saying, "I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.  Why should the work stop while I leave it to come down to you?"
Colossians 3:23 "Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done fo the Lord and not for your masters."

Other reasons we homeschool..
1. A love for learning
2. A child can learn at his/her own pace. If the concept is understood, why wait until the class "gets it".  Or if it is not understood, then it can be reviewed.
3. Peer pressure (enough said)
4. The child can learn what they want to learn.
5. Family Bonding
6. Better socialization opportunities.

"Be it known to all who enter here that Christ is the reason  for this school.  He is the unseen but ever present teacher in its classes.  He is the model of its faculty and the inspiration of its students" _author unknown
