| I have visited many of you and plan to get to the homes of hundreds more in the next few months. If I do not call you and you would like a visit, please call or e-mail me. I truly want to know your ideas and concerns. I have started an Issues Book and will refer your issue to the appropriate committee or agency. The other day a fellow on his snowmobile agreed to be on a discussion task force that I suggested. He needs to know where to travel and where to park. I believe strongly in dialogue and balanced problem-solving. There will be two Listening Sessions (complete with coffee/tea, and kringle) : BayView Town Hall, Maki Road Mon March 15 at 7 p.m. Washburn Town Hall, Hwy C Wed March 24 at 7 p.m. Some of you have already received 3D postcards with my campaign theme of Listening on them. I have also created (with great help from Chris Engfer) a handout on Duties of the County Board. You should feel welcome to contact your supervisor with concerns and expect to hear from him/her on decisions that affect you. I have attended most County Board Committee meetings and read the Land Use Plan and the County budget. I will meet with the head of the county jail in the near future. As a member of the League of Women Voters, I attend all information meetings (ie ATV, Patriot Act). Many of my past activities have involved networking, which I feel is essential. |
