Welcome Parents!
I am looking forward to an exciting semester teaching your child. Please take a few minutes to look over our class syllabus on the Student page to familiarize yourself with some of the activities your child will be engaged in this semester.

Make-up Policy: When a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to obtain all missed work as well as make-up any quiz or test missed within the allotted time. For an absence of one or two days, the students will have two days to submit any missed assignment. For a longer absence a total of the number of days missed will be given. Extreme cases will be handled individually. If a test is missed, the student should make an appointment to complete the test. Students are encouraged to take advantage of AO (Academic Opportunity) on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays to make up work and assessments. *Please note that major tests will need to be made up after school in order to provide the maximum time allottment.

New Opportunity for Parents through Pope Guidance: A new course is being developed for parents of 9th and 10th grade students who are struggling academically. The program will focus on academic achievement rather than life-skills parenting, and will teach parents how to support their students in the following areas:

· How to manage time
· Listening skills
· Concentration
· Managing homework
· Studying textbooks
· Preparing for and taking tests
· Taking notes
· Organizing information
· Improving their memory and thinking skills
· Improving their reading skills
