Snappies from Decision! Miss Beachside

And the one Nabiki one-piece swimsuit noone will ever forget!

I guess with this page you can tell I'm a big Ranma 1/2 fan, but most importantly, a fan of the girls of Ranma 1/2!! Earlier in 2001, I was given the precious gift (actually, I traded for them) tapes of Ranma 1/2 in Spanish from TV in Mexico. This allowed me to see episodes not yet released on Subtitled VHS by Viz, and even episodes that fans won't ever forget, like "Decision! Miss Beachside". This episode comes near the very end of the TV series, and seems like a nice gift for the fans to see their favorite females in Ranma 1/2 in really nice swimsuits.

What saddened me a little was the fact the video would not display correctly on any of the video displays we have. Then I decided, what the heck, try it out on the Snappy. I changed the battery... And lo and behold, Snappy was able to latch onto the video signal, make sense of it, and give me excellent results.

Let's start off, shall we? ^_^

At the start of the episode...

This doesn't look that great because I was tired and I got a little lazy. I slept for 3 extra hours the evening I completed these pictures.

From early on in the episode. These caps were 12 degrees rotated from vertical, and then I had to reduce some pieces to make them fit.

Though I'm not sure about the story in this episode, just as Akane finds out about the Miss Beachside contest, it seems Nabiki has found a way to make money at the beachside, by coming up with a beauty contest. And her first 2 enrolled contestants!

Kodachi eventually appears in the episode but there's never a good scroll shot of her in the skimpy string bikini. However, there is one here that I was able to get, but not able to remove Ranma-kun's hand. Right click to open that in a new window. ^_^

A couple of Kodachi later on in the episode. There's so many shots that fly by so quick I can't yet get them without a faster frame grabber card. (which are very pricy >.<)

Here are 4 successive shots of Akane in her green one piece, from near the end of the episode. These are rather nice, I feel, and show some side detail, as well as how nice Akane looks in a swimsuit. ^_^ I clipped these to show only what I wanted to show.
