Anime North 2002 - Other stuff!
Now for a page of other stuff, mostly photo scans. ^_^
![]() While traversing 90 East into PA, we stopped at the Visitor Information Center and noted they have comment and questionaire forms, and the suggestion box conveniently located below the forms. |
![]() This year's Anime North convention was at the Regal Constellation, a hotel that's a bigger target than the Marriott right across the street, and still located very near Pearson Airport. The only benefit was no 7:05 AM wakeup flight. |
![]() I finally figured out the thing with the sombrero! It's from the Miyazaki film "sen to chihiro no kamikakushi" aka Spirited Away! How's that for figuring that one out? Two independent sources tell me the character's name is "kaonashi" or No-Face, the faceless spirit. How do people find this stuff out? @.@ |
![]() I would try to repeat what one girl waiting with us for registration called it, but it's not for polite company. ^_^;; Anywho, they were goofing around before registration opened when a fellow wearing a sombrero happened along, and the rest as they might have said, was comedy. |
![]() ![]() As promised, I bought 2 issues of tofu, and Heather cosplayed as Chii, though she didn't promise she would, that was planned. I missed what they did on Saturday, so if someone saw that, I'd love to see pictures of it. Jen Chan is on the left, and Heather Chan is on the right. |
![]() ![]() Our friend Nick strikes a pose for adoring fans as Mr. Satan (aka Hercule). This is probably not as good as it could be, but it's from my own roll, so there! I cannot be held responsible for the crappy developing. |
![]() And last but not least, I finally got to meet Ryan and Lisa, Lisa here dressed as Digiko. I really love the costume, and I now learned more about why you need lighting from the front instead of from above. I really like this shot, but it could be better. |
![]() ![]() Fortunately, Rabi En Rose was passing by and I had my photo camera ready for a good shot of her and Lisa (I mean Digiko-chan). Rabi-en-rose-sama also gave me a nice pose earlier, which I'll keep to myself. Arigatou!!!!! |
Thanks to all who posed for me and signed my Mako PDA for autographs. How many people can say they not only have photos of people in costume, but their autographs, too? I also got signatures of Ben Dunn, Tristen Citrine, and the guy who runs fansview. ^_^ Those I'll keep to myself. Ms. Citrine's autograph may very well become another wallpaper for my PDA. ^_^
As things are at home right now, I have no idea if I'll go to next year's Anime North. I'm considering signing for only one day, since I really want to see Pacific Mall.
Ja ne nyo!!!
