| Welcome to Maple Pod. My name is Mrs. Gibbons. This is my third year teaching at R.C. Hinsdale Elementary. Throughout the school year, I enjoy getting to know all of my students and I hope that they feel the same about me. This letter is an opportunity for parents and students to learn a little bit more about me. I am a graduate of Northern Kentucky University. My desire to become a teacher started when I was only 8 years old. This is my second year working in Maple Pod. I really love this age group and look forward to another fantastic year. Currently, I live in Latonia, KY, with my husband, Jeff, and my son, Micaiah. Micaiah is a kindergartner in Cedar Pod. I am not a Kentucky native( a "Hoosier" by birth), but I have lived in the area for over 12 years. For my hobbies, I love to read and listen to various types of music. Every once in awhile I will do something crafty like knit or draw, but it doesn't happen as often as I would like it to. My dream is to someday write children's books. I don't have any manuscripts yet, but I have many ideas that could lead to one. Being a teacher is something I truly enjoy. I hope that my enthusiasm for teaching will encourage my students to discover a love of learning. I am looking forward to teaching third grade again this year and I hope your child enjoys my class.
