Mrs. Triolo and I are combining to do an eighth grade SURVIVOR unit based on the television show.  Students drew pieces of paper from a bag for random tribe placement.  The students came up w/ their tribe name and team color. 

Students need to wear a T-shirt to PE from now with their tribe color. 

We put the tribes through a group event and an individual event this week, so that anyone who has not watched the show will have an idea of what will be happening in PE for them.  Each tribe must now work on a team event and an individual event that will be used in the unit.

Mrs. Triolo and I have been working on this for weeks (and yes we are both fans of the show).  So we have prepared events as well for the classes.  Not all of the challenges are physical so their should be something for everyone of our students.

There will be no tribe members voted off.  Tribe members may only participate in one indivdual event and they will not know what the event is ahead of time. 

The tribes are working on a point system.  With the winning tribe being treated to a breakfast by Mrs. Triolo and myself.
