| Outside a high wind is blowing making the sea rough. It's a long time since I've seen the waves break on the grey pebbly shore like that. In the Autumn of 2008 I travelled to Alaska, alone, to follow a book, the story of Tim and Ivo. Tim, a young man, myself perchance, tempestuous and creative falls in love with his older tutor at the university he attends in dreary seaside sussex. Ivo is older, firmer, a lecturer who teaches in Alaska over the Summer months. They travel there together, Tim accepting Ivo's money, in the same way I accept money to go. By the time we arrive Tim has dramatically fallen out love. | ||||||||
