Nuriko of Fushigi Yuugi

Inspiration: Nuriko is....Nuriko is, in one word, amazing. Word's cannot describe the respect and feelings I have for him! He's truly one of my favorite characters!

Favorite Aspect: The whole thing. It's amazing. I've never seen anyone that took the time to line the whole inside in green or put the green down the front like we have. I feel as if ours is very accurate! I also love our wig. It's beautiful!! Many thanks to Julie (On Cosplaylab) for making it.

Least Favorite Aspect: Nothing really comes to mind. I love this costume so much! I don't think there's a sinlge thing that I could find wrong.

Easiest Task: The patterns. The first time we looked we found two that would work! We got lucky on this costume. Other then the patterns, finding the right shoes were also easy. We just went to Belk and bought very comfortable bedroom slippers. Surprisingly, they work great!

Hardest Task: At first we THOUGHT it would be finding the right color fabric. Turns out that was easy! On our second try we found the perfect match! When we started sewing everything went ok..But the hardest was probably the sleeves. We had to add them to the pattern, which caused small problems. But in the end it all worked out. Today, the main leading problem is still the leg ties. They are always a pain when I talk or sit down (They like to break!).
