Aerith Gainsborough of Kingdom Hearts

Inspiration: I love Aeris. Along with Rufus, she is my favorite Final Fantasy Character. I've always wanted to cosplay her but never had the guts to. Finally I just decided it was silly to over look her and her cute KH costume. I love her so I have every right to be her. This dress was made by the help of Sarabella, who did an amazing job.

Favorite Aspect: Being Aeris. So many people kept hugging me and telling me not to die again. It was truly surreal! Having people act like that is really different and something I wont forget. I loved every minute of it. Also, using my real hair. That was fun.

Least Favorite Aspect: Though the dress looked amazing, it could have been better. It was made in a rush..So the inside of it is a mess. It frays pretty bad, too. Sooner or later I'll just have to remake it.

Easiest Task: Already having the boots. I got a pair a few years back because they reminded me of her. Surprisningly enough, that paid off. Now, I have boots I can always wear with her costume! Other then that, her string necklace was really easy.

Hardest Task: The hair. For this costume I used mostly fake hair. Though you can't tell in the picture my hair is pretty short (About the length of her curly hair in front). So, what we did was bought human hair to add on. That stuff was fun to work with but at the same time very difficult. Also, getting the front of the hair to look nice. Talk about a lot of hairspray!!
