First Grade News

Dear Families,
We've had a great first week of first grade! It has been fun getting to know eachother.  We've been working hard on learning all the routines and procedures of our classroom.
Highlights for kids: I am sending home a subscription offer from Highlights Magazine. You may have been a subscriber yourself as a child.  I sure was!   It is full of cool articles, poems, and activities for kids of all ages!  Plus, if you send back the sheet by Sept. 12th, our class will receive a free gift, even if you don't decided to subscribe!!!  Please send your completed sheets back to school by Wednesday Sept. 12th.  Thanks!

Homework: We will have our first homework assignment this Wednesday!! 

Oktoberfest Basket: If you haven't signed up for our Oktoberfest basket yet, there are still a few things that are needed.  Our basket theme is "Road Warriors" .  A parent suggested car wash gift certificates too!
