First Grade News
Dear Families,
We had a very exciting week!  The field trip to Rennie's Apple Orchard and the Theater was lots of fun!  We went on a hayride, picked out pumpkins, and picked apples right off the tree!  At the theater we saw an amazing puppet show of Aesop's Fables by Jim West.  Check out
www.jimwestpuppets.com for puppet making ideas and lots of cool stuff.  Also, the Saturday after Thanksgiving  Winnie the Pooh musical will be at the city opera house in Traverse City!   Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.  Call 231-941-8082 for more details or see www.cityoperahouse.org

Halloween: For Halloween, please send your child's costume in a bag with his/her name written on it.  We will change into our costumes before the parade starts.  Please do not send in any "weapons" or weapon looking items such as pitch forks, swords, guns...

We've started timed math tests.  We will be doing these once per week.  The tests are 3 minutes to complete 25 problems.  Each time we get all of the problems correct, we go up a level.

Have a great weekend!
