First Grade News
Mrs. Rosted's Class
March 14, 2008
Dear Families:
We have been learning about Korea, retelling a story, long vowel sounds, place value, odd & even numbers, and counting money.  We've also had a lot of fun with our "March is Reading month" activities. Paleo Joe was awesome!   Next week I am going start assessing each of the children for report cards.  Be sure to get plenty of rest and eat well.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  We didn't catch the leprechaun this time, but we sure had fun trying and he left us some yummy treats! The leprechaun traps were awesome!  Thanks for all of your hard work!  :)

Center Volunteers: If you can help out, we'd really appreciate it!  Please see the volunteer sheet I sent home today.

Library Volunteer needed for Fridays from 1:00-1:30. Parent would be assisting Mrs. Swanson and helping students check out books.  Please send me a note if you are interested.

Snacks: Please be sure to send in healthy snacks and save the sweets for special occasions (like birthdays).  Some great snack ideas are veggies & ranch dressing, granola bars, fruit snacks, fresh cut up fruit, grapes, dry cereal, yogurt...

Have a great weekend!
Nicci Rosted
