Dear Families, We're learning about...contractions and how to use questions to help us comprehend a story in reading, in math we've been working on solids & shapes, symmetry, and beginning to learn about fractions (equal shares). We've also been learning about God's gift of free will, making good choices, and being responsible for our actions. |

We've had a lot of assessment this week. We still have more to go... please be sure to get plenty of rest and a good breakfast this week! Dates to remember: Book Orders are due on Monday No School on January 18th Report cards go home on Jan. 25th
Discipline: Now that we are 1/2 way through first grade, the students know what is expected of them. If they break a rule, they go to "recovery time" to stop and think about their behavior. If they have to go to recovery time twice in one day, they will now be calling home to let their parents know about their choices. This allows the students to take responsibility for his/her actions. (this is a new classroom policy) Have a great weekend! Mrs. Rosted
