First Grade News
Mrs. Rosted's Class
April 25, 2008
Dear Families:
This week in the news... Spring fever is in the air!  It's been so nice outside, I hope everyone has had a chance to get out there and enjoy it while it lasts!  We have been learning about the butterfly life cycle, adjectives, the difference between an oral retelling and a written retelling, place value, graphs, and synonmyms.  It has been a very busy week!

Don't forget to bring your Rosary to school for the month of May!  During the month of May we will be praying the rosary together as a school in the Parish Hall.

We are going to see a play on May 7th about Laura Ingalls Wilder and for a picnic at Kenwood Park!  Please see the permission slip and volunteer sheet about our field trip.

It's that time of year when we do alot of assessments.  We will be starting the GATES Assessment on Monday.  Please be sure that your child has a good night sleep and a good breakfast this week!  We want everyone to be able to do their personal best!

The talent show starts at 1:00 on Friday May 9th.  Sign up is in front of Mr. Carlson's room and with Mrs. Swanson.

Have a great weekend!
Nicci Rosted
