Wind's Whisperings

5'98

I know where the bluebird builds her nest,

And how she lines it with the softest down from her breast,

I've seen the foxes' dens,

And the places  where they steal the farmers' hens.

I know many secrets of the wild,

Like where a graceful doe hides her speckled child,

I've heard oh so many stories told,

Of sunken ships, or buried gold.

I also know the reasons why you weep,

And the place you lay your head to sleep,

I'll dance through your hair to make you feel free,

And then you will know that I will always with you be.

The Lord God made me know,

And I dance His kindness He wished to show,

So, now I am come to you,

And to you I will ever be true.

I am the wind.
