Poems of disappointed love

IT WAS EASIER WHEN YOU WERE FAR AWAY

My hope was stronger.

I knew you could not greet me at my door.

I Prayed silently.

But when you come home, your home is without me.

Someone else greets you.

Unaware of your arrival, I still hope

that your heart is safe.

One day I find out when you’re coming.

Days pass in waiting.

I know you are here, yet you do not see me.

I grieve silently.

The silence

OUR eyes met and the world rejoiced

they broke apart; it lost its voice.

The silence carried its song into two hearts.

Two people left, torn apart.

Changed

Naturally, she would fall in love with him,

As soon as she saw the sparkle in his eyes.

True, he wouldn’t even know it!

How strange men are! Not to realize the spell

a look can cast on a young girl’s heart.

Now she shall be changed all her life.
