I Knew

By K. Leigh

(Read across, then down)

I knew you before you were created The sad twisting trail of your fate By decisions you would make--free will.
Why is it you would choose to create heaven? One that would be your personal hell? I knew about the parties late at night.
The secret whispers and the private delights. I heard your lies before they formed. I knew in time you would decide.
The choice you would make was in my knowledge It hit hard. Like a father who sees his child in danger.
My heart longs to protect. But I know you must Do your part.
