These are the photos taken from our cabin at the Cradle Mountain Lodge in Tasmania, Australia.

It was really fun and can you believe that these photos were taken on three consecutive days, on the three days that we were there.

On the first day when we drove up there and check in, the scenery was clear and beautiful (DAY 1).

But when we woke up on the second day, we were amazed to be surrounded by snow and to be able to experience snow for the first time.  See the thick layer of snow on the railing and rooftop (DAY 2).

The third photo was taken on the third day, before we departed from Cradle Mountain (DAY 3).  Thank God that the snow has stopped and the thick layer of snow built up in the previous day had also melted.  It would have been dangerous for us to drive downhill in the snow.

The most amazing thing was to be told that the snowfall on DAY 2 was actually the FIRST snowfall at Cradle Mountain for year 2003.  For the past two years, the first snowfall they had experienced at Cradle Mountain were around August and September in 2001 and 2002.  Wow, it was only June and really thank God for giving us the chance to experience snow for the first time.

Did you see the thick layer of snow covering our car? Do you know how freezing cold it is to stand out in the open?
(Toyota Camry -  safe and reliable, a good buy if you are thinking of getting one)

Quite interesting to learn how to set the fire and use the logs provided to keep our cabin warm for the first time..
Do you like my snowman?
It was the same snow that covered our car.
