| The New Forest |
| The camp in Sherwood Forest was in Burnham Beeches, but for other scenes set in Sherwood the producer's used The New Forest in Hampshire. The beechwood area of Mark Ash Wood west of the village of Lyndhurst was used (grid reference SU 243 073). Also filmed at Hampton Ridge (the scenes where Robin, Azeem and Duncan enter Sherwood) Possibly also shot at either Alderhill Inclosure or Pitts Wood Inclosure, but this is not confirmed. Richard Reeves, Deputy Librarian at the New Forest Museum kindly provided me with the following information: Sets & Locations Edge of Forest (Loc 1) Forest Gnarled Oak (Loc 1) Forest (Loc 1) Camp 1 (Loc 2) Forest (Loc 2) Location 1 Hampton Ridge Location 2 Mark Ash Wood Base camp for crew As to dates in September 1990 I only have info on two days.
