   +6   +6
4x=x+15
 -x      -x
3x=15
x=5

add 6 to both sides
you get 15
now, subtract x from each side
now divide 3 by 15
you get x=5

y/m-b=x

Yoiu first subtract x from each side
Then you divide by m
