You'll Have the Memory of an Elephant!
Algebra 2 problems
by: Kylie Jo

    This site was created by me for a project in my Algebra 2 class. As you can tell I love elephants! I am fifteen years old and I attend Union Grove High School. It is a brand new school that just opened this year and so far it's going great! I hope that you will learn something from my page because I definately know how hard math can be! Don't give up because you'll get the hang of it! Make sure to check out other Algebra 2 pages that are linked to mine if you have any more questions. Enjoy!

Problem:
Through (4,6) and perpendicular to Y = 2/5x-3
y-6= 5/2 (x+4)
This is a point slope problem.
Here's the Area formula:
solve for b1

A=(b1 + b2)h       multiply both
            2               sides by 2 to
                             get rid of it
2A=(b1+ b2)h

2A= b1 +b2         divide by h to
  h

2A-b2=b1
  h

Here's another problem :

1/3(6y-9) = 2y +13
      2y-3  = -2y + 13
     +2y       +2y
      4y -3 = 13
          +3 = +3
          4y = 16
            4      4
            y = 4

First you must use the distributive property on the left side of this problem.

Then you must take 2y and move it to the other side as a step to get the variable by itself.

Do the same with the 3.

Next divide by 4 to get your answer which is 4 in this problem.
