Linear Equazianz 1/3 (6y - 9) = -2y + 13

1) 1/3 (6y - 9) = -2y + 13

2) 2y - 3 = -2y + 13

3) 2y - 3 = -2y + 13
   +2y +3   +2y +  3

4) 4y  =  16
    4y        4     y = 4

1) Use the distributive property. Multiply 1/3 to 6y and -9.

2) this is what u should get if u used the distributive property correctly.

3) add the -2y to the other 2y.  add -3 to the 13.

4) divide and ur answer should be four.

(Y² - Y¹) / (X² - X¹)

(6,5) (4,2) (X¹, Y¹) (X² , Y²)
5 - 2 / 6 - 4 Substitute in the X's and Y's

Slope = 3 through (2,9)

Y = 3x + 3 Y - 9 = 3 (X - 2)
3x - Y = -3 To check answer do.....
Y - 9 = 3 x - 6
   +9           +9
Y =     3x + 3
