Dana'sData
Hi, my name is Carl the cricket.  Dana ismy best friend in the whole world.

                  4x-6   =   x+9
                   -x          -x
                  3x-6   =       9
                     +6          +6
                      3x  =     15
                      3            3
First, I subtracted x from both sides.  I then added six to both sides so that my equation is now 3x = 15.
For my final step I will divide by 3 so that x = 5.
              A =   1/2(b1+ b2)h

            2A =         (b1+b2)h
           2A =         (b1+b2)h
              h                           h
           2A =    b1+b2
             h

First, I multiplied by 2 to get rid of the fraction.  I then divided by h, so that my equation is now 2A divided by h = b1 + b2
             Slope = 3
  The line goes through points (2,9)

                     y-9 = 3(x-2)
                     y-9 = 3x-6
                      +9       +9
                         y = 3x+3

First, I put the information into a point-slope equation.  I then used the distributive property and subtracted 9.  My equation is now
y = 3x+3.
