SOLVING EQUATIONS

by: Ross Tilson

96 = -12C + 36
              -36 =            - 36
              60 =  -12C
             -12 =  -12
              -5 = C
Substract 36 from each side.
That comes out 60 = -12c.
Divide each side by -12.
Then c= -5

(3,5) 1/2 slope
y-5 / y-3
y-5 / y-3 = 1/2
x-3             x-3
y-5 = 1/2 ( x-3 )
Find an equation through this line
usnig the triangle, the slopemsut equal 1/2
write a porportion
mulitpling both sides by x-3 gives you an equation
the equation looks like this

   I=PRT
PT  pT
I/PT=R
Solve for R
divide both sides by PT
