         First add 18 to both sides by  using the distributive property.  Then you have to subtract 7y from both sides. Then you divide 3 from both sides which gives you the answer.....

            And this is How It's Done
2.    Y = MX + B

 Y - B  =  X

               Y - B  =  M
                     X		            The goal is to get the  X alone.
First you want to subtract y from either side. Then divide by M .  Finally divide everything by and and your answer  is born : 

                        Y - B = M

           Y - 9 = 3 (X-2)
           Y - 9 = 3x - 6

             Y    = 3x + 3		 First you want to start by distributing your 3 into the parenthesis. After that i added 9 to each side.
