 2(x-3)=(x-1)+7
 2x-6=7x-7
     +6      +6
      2x=7x-1
        -7x    -7x
  5x= -1
  -5     -5
  * x=12*
      First, you want to distribute everything outside the parentheses to everything inside of the parentheses. Then you add 6 to both sides. After you add six to both sides you subtract 7x from both sides. You want the x's on one side and the  Then you divide both sides by 5. The answer is.......
